Tuscan winter sun
The detail and geographical knowledge gave us the confidence that it would be a trip to remember. Everything Edward told us was spot on in every way. I would say that he takes a personal pride in ensuring that every travel package he arranges is to the highest standard.
Having taken Edward's advice on hotel choice, we were thrilled at the location and pretty much everything about it; the staff were fabulous, the rooms had everything you could want and the breakfast was amazing. In the heart of Florence just behind the Central Market and next to the Street Market and a few minutes walk from the main Duomo and the train station it was pretty much a perfect location.
Thank you Edward; we will certainly be booking with you again, hopefully very soon.

Giving excellent service is important to anyone running a business; receiving it from someone else will often stop you in your tracks and make you re-evaluate your own standards. Edward Waite-Roberts from Chandelle Travel did just that.
Last week Linda and I went to Rome for a romantic Valentine break. We had a fabulous time in a brilliantly located hotel and the food was quite simply the best Italian food I have ever eaten.
Edward's communication throughout was exemplary as was his attention to detail; what I would call his USTs (Unique & Special Touches), were the icing on the cake.
This wasn't an expensive holiday by any means but Edward's USTs helped us to feel special; as if we were spending a whole lot more. It says a lot about a man when he treats even those in the cheap seats with the same care and attention as his more wealthy customers.
We are so grateful to Edward for the way he looked after us. We would have no hesitation at all in using him for future holidays. He is highly recommended.

My Husband and I were looking at booking our honeymoon and were recommended to Chandelle Travel. After a phone call with Edward we knew we were in good hands. He was polite, extremely knowledgeable and it felt as if we were talking through holiday plans with a friend. He got us an amazing deal at the Sandals Resort in Antigua which looks more luxurious and romantic than we could have ever imagined! It’s a long wait until we fly but we couldn’t be more excited and are so grateful to Edward for all his help, I can’t recommend him enough if you want the stress of booking a holiday to vanish!

You have excelled yourself this time! Good bus ride from Dubai and very easy to get between the two emirates.
The Millennium is absolutely fantastic and has a nice pool and sundeck. The Ibis was good but this place surpasses it no end - MANY THANKS!
We would like to thank you for organising our trip to Bordeaux. Your advice, logistics and paperwork were excellent.
We would also like to praise the cruise operator - we could not fault them in any way; their service, crew, food and the ship were all first class.

We can't thank you enough for arranging probably our most amazing holiday ever. In fact, I'm still buzzing! Everything ran like clockwork and we had so many wonderful experiences. Our driver was just the best. His knowledge was never ending and we got on so well with him.
He had us out early on the road every day and I think he would have kept us out all night too if it could have been arranged!
We will of course send photos to Tony for the competition. Once again, thank you so much for organising the trip of a lifetime and we will meet up with you sometime to share some of our experiences with you.

Our thanks to Sandra at Chandelle Travel for finding us one of our best holidays yet!
Not a cloud in the sky, turquoise blue sea, idyllic views, mouth-watering cuisine and friendly natives – this is how we found CROATIA. After just a couple of hour’s flight and a short transfer, we arrived at Split Marina where our Adriatic adventure was moored. The Karizma (our island hopping boat) exceeded our expectations. The accommodation was comfortable, with constant hot water and more than adequate facilities.
Out on decks, we enjoyed the lounge deck for relaxing, sipping drinks or cocktails, chatting and taking in the wonderful scenery. Then when that all gets too much we went to the sun lounge to top up the tan or have a cool off in the Jacuzzi. We are not all ardent sun fans, so a lovely roomy canopy provided a bit of shade to get to grips with that book you just have to read. With only 33 guests of several different nationalities on board, we found it to be a very interesting, warm and convivial atmosphere.
Lunch is taken on board, and it isn’t a buffet! How they prepared such delicious food in such a small kitchen must be seen to be believed. Our days were filled with swimming, eating, relaxing and visiting the lovely islands of Croatia. This was all expertly organised by our very knowledgeable and friendly Cruise Manager. We’re not going to tell you anymore, because you have to go and experience this holiday for yourself; you’ll be so glad that you did !

Riva del Garda Italy
Once again Edward organised this holiday for us with his usual precision. Everything went according to plan both with flights and pick up. Our holiday was 10 days from 7th Sept. The first few days until the 11th Sept Riva was very busy with families and people as the children didn’t go back to school until the following week. After that Riva was quiet and idyllic; a combination of old town which is so picturesque and new town to meet the needs of the more modern person. The whole area has a labyrinth of cycle paths that take you to many enchanting places, which you can also use as footpaths. Bike hire is free at the Hotel Nicolli and ferries go very frequently to many different places. To give you an idea of size, the ferry takes 4 hours to get from one end of the lake to the other! We used Trentino Guest Cards as this enabled us to get a discount for transport and many attractions and is given free by some hotels. Hotel Nicolli was very quiet and set back in a residential area about 10 minutes walk away from the lake, which was reached through many lovely parks. The staff at the hotel were always friendly and helpful. The food was excellent and the evening meal was always a surprise of interesting delights. There was a quiet garden to sit in with plenty of sunbeds and the pool area was also quite quiet. Thank you Edward; we will start thinking about our next trip!

We would like to thank you for arranging such a fabulous holiday for us. We have had an amazing time and had fantastic experiences. The whole holiday went smoothly. The organisation in Botswana between airports and accommodation happened without a glitch. The lodges, tents and staff were excellent but above all the wildlife was superb. We have seen a leopard drinking at a waterhole, elephants crossing the Chobe river, lions in groups and alone to name but a few. The whole holiday certainly exceeded our expectations.
Thank you again for your considerable efforts on our behalf.

A quick note to say thank you for organising a wonderful trip for myself and Nicola to celebrate our 10th Wedding Anniversary.
Guernsey is a terrific destination and we were blessed with great weather all week-end , the hotel and particularly the breakfast were 1st class !.
Thank you for all your help it will be a week-end we will remember for many years.
Also please find attached our competition entry for next year's photography competition (Apologies about the resolution, but the view was amazing !)

When I decided to arrange a special holiday, I asked Chandelle Travel to come up with some ideas. All I did was to provide suggested dates and a couple of venues and Edward did the rest. He not only came up with two excellent alternatives, he also suggested a few additional days in Dubai on the way. He then spent a lot of time on the detail of my final choice, including all the travel, accommodation and transfers. This also included completing the case tags, providing complete easy to understand documentation and travel tips...plus a surprise on the plane on the way out.
That's going the extra mile and providing a level of service that was very much appreciated. The whole experience was fabulous.
I am delighted with the service that Chandelle Travel has provided and have no hesitation in recommending them to anybody else who is looking to make any travel arrangements.

River Cruises trip to China, safari holiday to Kenya and Tanzania, self drive holiday to Iceland, Norwegian coastal trip to the far north
We have been booking our holidays through Chandelle Travel for the past four years following a recommendation from some good friends. What a great recommendation that was – Edward and Sandra provide the perfect holiday service. We wanted to travel to Kenya and Tanzania, but didn’t know where to start! Their knowledge and suggestions were very helpful when planning the holiday and their attention to detail ensured there were no worries that anything has been forgotten. It was an unforgettable experience.
All our holidays arranged by Chandelle have run seamlessly. For our last holiday to Norway, the tickets did not arrive in good time before our departure date. I had not noticed this, but Edward was on the case immediately and arranged for tickets and vouchers to be emailed to him, which he then printed and delivered personally to us. Chandelle provide the perfect tailor-made holiday service and we will definitely continue to use them in the future.

Cliff Bay Hotel Funchal Madeira
I wanted a special holiday to surprise my husband for his ‘milestone’ birthday. Edward came up with some super ideas for so many places, but with his help and patience and vast knowledge of so many countries he allowed me to eventually find the perfect place. We finally chose the Cliff Bay Hotel just on the outskirts of Funchal which lived up to his high star rating it was wonderful. Edward advised us to take 7 days B and B and 7 days half board which gave us the flexibility to eat in if we felt lazy or go and explore the many local restaurants. We could choose which days we wanted to eat out and it was perfect. Edward’s organisation of the whole holiday was slick and everything was covered from the collection at the airport to the return. The great thing about Chandelle Travel is they cater for your individual needs and listen to what you really want without undue pressure. We are now looking forward to our next holiday which Edward is organising for us to Italy.

Iceland, Berlin, Las Vegas and Grand Canyon, New Zealand
Quite simply great escape artists with amazing attention to detail and personal service excellence.
Starting from a general idea about your holiday or great escape, Chandelle Travel always does whatever it takes to make it a reality. In most cases they also manage to add some magic ingredients to the mix that, even if they don’t always blow your mind, they will generally exceed any expectations you may have of them.
We have used Chandelle Travel four times now to arrange:
• A short break in Iceland
• A short break in Berlin
• An anniversary holiday to Las Vegas and Grand Canyon
• A great escape to both the North Island and South Island of New Zealand
From our own personal experience we can say that, no matter whether it is just a short break or a great escape holiday, Chandelle Travel always pays amazing attention to detail and always provides an excellent personal service – it’s like dealing with a friend where nothing is too much trouble.
They have global connections that they can call upon if necessary to help put those all-important local finishing touches to their great escape artistry. It is these finishing touches that can be especially effective when adding magic ingredients to the mix.
We completely trust Chandelle Travel – they have a special relationship with their clients and, for us, their genuine desire to know and understand us and our needs sets them apart from the rest. We are in no doubt that they provide a unique service and are indeed an exceptionally hard act to follow.
Egypt and Canada
We have been on holiday with Chandelle a couple of times, first time was to Egypt and it was fabulous, we started off in Giza where Chandelle Travel managed to get us a room overlooking the Pyramids, followed by a Nile cruise on the RAII then a week in El Gouna, a dedicated tourist resort with barriers at the entrance, and the shopkeepers are not allowed to approach you unless you want them to. It is a lovely place, with lovely beaches. The sea is great for swimming in there too. We would never have thought of going there if it had not been for Chandelle Travel.
The second time was a trip to Canada, we started off in Toronto for a few days, including a trip up the CN Tower, then went to Niagara, then we just went. Having a hire car is vital there and we ended up in some wonderful places where the nights were really nights with no lights to disturb the darkness.
We would always trust Chandelle Travel to come up with the holiday we want, we know they have been to a lot of the places they send people to. They also provide information packs that give a great introduction to the holiday and make for a great start. We have had some wonderful experiences on these holidays and certainly would book through them again.

We have family on the South Island of New Zealand at Dunedin. We had visited them previously but not for a long time. We agreed with the family the dates for us to visit them again.
Then, as we know he likes a challenge, we told Edward that we wanted to tour the whole of New Zealand built around those dates.
We had some discussions on thoughts and ideas and finally Sandra recommended a few hotel changes based on her own experiences - changes that provided some magical finishing touches.
We enjoyed a few days in Hong Kong on the way out, and a few days in Shanghai on the way home.
We then covered more or less the whole of the North Island, from Auckland up to the wonderfully beautiful Bay of Islands and then on to Whangamata and the Coromandel Peninsular, the incredible hot springs of Rotarua, Napier (the art deco capital of the world), and finally on to the capital Wellington. All carefully chosen destinations mostly having good restaurants and wineries for us to visit.
From the ferry at Picton on the South Island we drove to Blenheim where we stayed in a fabulous boutique hotel (thanks Sandra) and also visited the local St Claire winery, which produces our favourite wines of all time. Then we drove to Dunedin to spend some very happy days with the family. We reached Dunedin via Christchurch and then via Fleurs Place at Moeraki for lunch (Rick Stein’s must go to when in New Zealand).
Finally we spent some time in Queenstown, which was even more stunningly beautiful after a heavy fall of snow (probably not arranged by Edward) and then at Lake Tekapo with its outstanding beauty and the famous tiny Church of the Good Shepherd.
Chandelle Travel did everything to ensure the whole amazing trip went smoothly – a testament to their great escape artistry, attention to detail and unwavering level of personal service.

Vietnam and Thailand
We had decided to mark our retirement with something special and were recommended to Edward from Chandelle Travel. Following an introductory chat, Edward produced a detailed plan for a trip to Vietnam and Thailand. The initial plan was modified following further discussion and after we had agreed to the core concepts Edward went to work on the details. This was a master plan, every aspect of our holiday: flights, transfers, guides, hotel bookings, excursions, advice on visas, prevailing weather conditions, and Foreign and Commonwealth advice documents were all included in our pack - quite outstanding. Throughout the planning stages Edward was always on hand to clarify any concerns - nothing was too much trouble: there was no such thing as a silly question.
The whole trip was wonderful. We saw and learnt much about Vietnam from the bustle and apparent chaos of Hanoi to the peace and wonder of Ha Long Bay and, later, the hill tribes of the northern most region of this beautiful country. Our guide was simply excellent. Bangkok was an eye-opener: temples, tuk-tuks and Thai food - wow. Our visit to the River Kwai was simply sensational. We experienced sadness and profound respect for those who had given so much and whose graves are tended by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission. We were in wonderment at the Kwai river: awe-inspiring jungle next to a deeply peaceful but powerful river. We met local tribes people, stayed in a floating hotel and got up close and personal with elephants!
We have had the most memorable and wonderful trip, and all due to the expertise and hard work of Edward and Sandra at Chandelle Travel - it felt that we were dealing with our friends rather than a business. Heartily recommended.

After my retirement in Nov 2014 I wanted to take my wife and two teenage sons on a holiday of a lifetime.
A friend recommended I speak to Edward at Chandelle Travel, so I did. We all wanted to go to Africa. On first phone call to Edward he listened to our wishes and suggested Namibia.
Sounded good so we asked him to put some plans together. Couple of weeks later, Edward came to our house with a proposed 2.5 week trip to Namibia.
We spent a few days going through and asked Edward if he could tweak the plans in a few areas. Nothing was too much trouble.
On December 18th 2014 we took off from Heathrow, bound for Namibia. We wanted a holiday of a lifetime, and we got it tenfold. The attention to the smallest detail was amazing and the memories of this amazing country will remain with all of us for the rest of our lives. We could not have asked for anything different or even suggest any ways in which our holiday could have been improved.
Edward and Sandra are passionate about making sure their clients have a wonderful trip and that everything is arranged and nothing is left to chance.
